Ripplescape

I have started an art project called ‘Ripplescape’. Ripplescapes are line compositions featuring moiré patterns that emerge when two layers of lines meet, like interfering waves or ripples in water.

I have drawn ripplescapes ever since I can remember – during classes, lectures or meetings. The drawings help me focus and process sensory information. I like to think of them as keys to the way my brain is wired: a kind of mental algorithms or mind maps.

From notebooks to canvas

In December, I took the drawings from notebooks to canvas, trading pen for acrylic paint and ink, and called them Ripplescapes. Follow my art work on Instagram @ripplescapes and visit my website ripplescape.com, where you can buy paintings and prints.
